For use with all patients, it captures temperatures fast—approximately 4-6 seconds for oral, 10-13 seconds for rectal or pediatric axillary, and 12-15 seconds for adult axillary. Concerned about cross-contamination? The SureTemp 690 is designed with patient safety in mind. It uses disposable probe covers, and its oral/axillary and rectal probes and probe wells are interachangeable—so you can quickly disinfect as you switch between modalities.
